For your convenience we have put together a list of commonly asked questions about Email and SMS marketing services provided by Maxmail. We are constantly updating this section of the website so please visit again soon.
Is there a limit to the number of emails I can
send using Maxmail each month?
No. For a
flat monthly fee of $75 you can send unlimited emails per month. No strings
attached.
Can I get my graphic designer to design a
newsletter template instead of using your custom template design services?
Yes. There
are two ways to do this.
- Your designers can either
provide us with the finished HTML code of the template with images and any
CSS style sheets and we can add this to your account as a custom template
- Your designer gives us the
Photoshop layout and we integrate it with your account.
For option
1 there is no charge. For option 2 a charge of $300 still applies.
Can I upload my own images and Style Sheets?
Yes.
Maxmail has a very advanced HTML editor interface that allows you to upload
your own images and categorise them in folders. However, a maximum file size
limit of 1MB applies each time you upload an image. As a standard we allocate
10MB of disc space per account. If you need more disc space please contact us –support@maxmail.co.nz
The Maxmail
HTML editor allows you to manage the style sheet of your document in two ways.
You can either switch to HTML mode and edit the CSS manually or simply use the
built-in styles editor to make changes using the graphical user interface.
I am having problem uploading images?
Here are
some of the common answers to this problem.
- Image upload unsuccessful –
Make sure the name of the image does not contain any space characters. Use
the underscore (_) key or the plus (+) key to replace space characters in
the name of the image and try again.
- File size too big – Make sure
the image you are trying to upload is less than 1MB in size. Use Microsoft
Picture Editor (FREE) or Adobe Photoshop to change the resolution of the
image and try again.
- Cannot create folder error –
This error shows up if your account has not been correctly setup. Please
contact support@maxmail.co.nz for
more information.
I don’t want to provide an opt-out link for my
subscribers but I cant get rid of it inside the Mailing List interface.
By law you
are required to provide an opt-out link with every email communication you send
using Maxmail. In order to maintain this compliance we enforce an automatic
opt-out facility. Sorry, this is not negotiable with us.
What happens when someone clicks on the
unsubscribe link?
First, the subscriber
status is changed from active to unsubscribed and you are notified via an
email. After Maxmail has processed the opt-out request the user is redirected
to a landing page. This landing page by default is as follows:
http://wpp.maxmail.co.nz/incoming/landing.php
Within
Maxmail settings you can specify a custom URL for redirecting the user when
they click on the unsubscribe link.
