Can I send messages to all networks in New Zealand?

Yes. Through the Maxmail SMS Marketing engine you can send text messages to all networks in New Zealand.

How long can the SMS message be?

By default a message can be 160 characters long.

Can the message be personalised?

Yes. Using Maxmail’s powerful message personalisation system you can drag and drop smart tags (e.g.#FirstName# for First Name, #CompanyName# for company name etc.) onto the body of the message itself and when the message is broadcast, the fields are merged with the message.

How much does one SMS cost?

Depending on the volume you purchase each SMS message can be approximately $0.15 cents or less plus GST per message.

Can Maxmail be used for sending international SMS messages?

Yes. However pricing per message will be variable depending on the overseas network you wish to send messages to.

Can I start a two-way SMS marketing campaign using Maxmail?

Yes. However, this feature is offered as a customised service only. Depending on the nature of your two-way SMS marketing campaign a short code (e.g. 4123) or a long code (standard mobile number) will need to be approved. This process can take anything from 2 to 4 weeks depending on the network carrier.

Can I use Maxmail to send MMS messages?

Yes. Maxmail can be used for sending MMS marketing campaigns. However, there are some known issues with delivering MMS messages to the Telecom Network. However, we believe Telecom New Zealand are setting up a new GSM network which should fix delivery of MMS messages to Telecom mobile phones.

Can I customize sender ID?

Yes. Sender ID customization is now available through Maxmail. You can request a custom Sender ID upto 12 characters (alpha numeric) in length. Depending on the availability it may take upto 7 working days for the process to be approved.
